Facebook ads can seriously catapult most businesses to the next level.

One of the biggest problems is that many entrepreneurs treat their ads like they’re playing the lottery.

The 3 biggest mistakes I see are:

  1. Not having a clear Facebook ads plan
  2. Not having measurements in place and keeping track
  3. Not scaling the winners

Running a Facebook ad begins long before getting into the ads manager.

Here is a basic work flow – BEFORE you open up the ads manager:

  • Define your ad objective
  • Define your ad objective
    • What specifically do you want them to do
  • Have a retargeting plan in place if people click but don’t take action
  • Install your tracking pixel
  • Create your audiences (ok you do have to open up ads manager for this)
    • Saved audiences
    • Custom
      • Email List
      • Website Visitors
      • Followers
    • Lookalike
    • Retargeting
    • Write your ad copy – Spend a lot of time on this!
    • Choose your image
    • Set your budget and define what a successful campaign looks like
    • Input everything and follow the plan!
